Modern life has become very stressful as we engage in time-pressured activities, multi-tasking and coping with endless to-do lists. We are overdosing on social media and addicted to our mobile phones! We take on more and more until we realize that what used to be a challenge becomes now a heavy burden and we feel unable to carry on with a joyful heart- the enthusiasm has died down. Deep inside us, our cells are screaming ‘STOP, STOP ‘
This is burnout zone and we now need a proper treatment with rest- just like having a bad flu needs medication and rest. For if we do not take action now, we are opening the doors to exhaustion, depression, addictions or a major health breakdown. Burnout is the result of long term stress and accumulated fatigue and if left untreated it can very often open the doors of addiction to alcohol and drugs as we are desperately seeking a quick self-medication to find relief.

How do we treat Burnout at Les Mariannes Wellness Sanctuary?
Our Adrenal Burnout Program was created for those people suffering from the 3 E’s- Exhaustion, Energy depletion and Enthusiasm gone. Deeply restorative and healing, this program deals holistically with the symptoms and underlying causes of adrenal burnout, and addresses stress prevention and recovery from a mind, body and spirit perspective.
Combining restorative therapies with personal consultations in modern medicine, psychology, Naturopathic Lifestyle, Nutrition and Stress management, the program also includes herbal supplements and remedies to support your recovery. If required, additional medical tests are available following your consultation. Comprehensive Balance & Revitalising programs are available as we customize each program.
While one client may enjoy physical fitness classes another person may feel this to be too draining for his physical energy-so then we advise yoga classes to gently rebuild physical strength and develop more mind-body connection and balance. Or gentle massage and stretching to relieve tired muscles and dissolve tension knots that are draining the body’s vital force.
